WORDS WITH THEIR SOURCES

AI Policy.
What the labels mean, how the collection is made and how to raise a correction.
The purpose of this space
The Essence of My Life publishes poetry, close readings and practical writing guides in or alongside Urdu, Roman Urdu and English. Its themes are love, longing, hope and faith. Reading notes offer possible interpretations; they do not claim to reveal one definitive meaning or a verified private history of a writer.
AI-assisted editorial work
The initial design, generated rose image, editorial poetry, reading notes and journal guides were made with AI assistance. Pieces labelled “Editorial · AI-assisted” were created for this collection. They are not presented as quotations from an established poet, and they are not described as Ayesha’s entirely unaided personal writing.
Journal exercises contain newly created workshop examples unless another source is explicitly identified. An imagined scene is not represented as a verified personal experience. AI assistance does not establish that wording is unique or clear every possible third-party right. The operator should review the content and source descriptions before publishing or requesting monetisation.
Author and source labels
- “By [author]” identifies an author supplied by the publisher for an original submitted piece.
- “Editorial · AI-assisted” identifies creative or explanatory writing produced with AI assistance for the collection.
- “Shared dua” identifies a personal prayer. It does not by itself identify Quranic or hadith wording.
- “Selected words” identifies third-party writing with source information. Attribution does not replace any permission needed to publish it.
- “Sample verse” and “Project sample” identify starter or test writing. They should not be mistaken for owner-submitted personal poetry.
Writing from the community
Visitor submissions are held privately until the operator reviews and approves them. Community pages credit the writer’s supplied name or pen name and display an AI-assistance disclosure when the writer supplies one. These are contributor declarations, not independently verified identities or a guarantee of originality. The operator checks the complete text, quotations and source concerns before approval and can unpublish a piece when a concern arises.
Community writing has its own section and individual reading pages. It is separate from the initial AI-assisted editorial collection. No ad script is served on community or submission pages in this release. Readers can report a concern using the contact link on a piece. Review status is an internal publishing choice, not an external certification.
Faith-related writing
Creative devotional verses and personal prayers are kept distinct from scripture, authenticated narrations and religious rulings. The journal’s source-clarity guide concerns the presentation of writing; it does not provide religious authority. Unverified quotations should not be assigned a religious attribution.
Review and revision
Before treating a piece as ready for public promotion, the operator should check its language, readability, source label, quotation status, permissions and any factual claims. The admin’s “Reviewed by owner” field records the operator’s action; it is not a Google approval, a legal certification or proof that the text was written without AI.
Changes to a poem can be literary revisions rather than factual corrections. For a material source or factual correction, the page should identify the correction in its source note or accompanying text where useful. Journal pages display their most recent update date.
Corrections and permissions
Use the contact form to identify the page, quote the wording at issue and provide a reliable source or a description of your rights concern. Messages go to the private site inbox. The operator can inspect the concern, amend a label, correct wording or unpublish a piece as appropriate.
Advertising and editorial pages
Advertising, when enabled, is separate from the purpose of the writing. Source labels are not removed to make content appear human-written or to suggest guaranteed monetisation. Pages are intended to offer an actual reading experience, not merely space for ads.
